Lori Spagnolo

Policy Scientist

I grew up in a traditional fishing town along the coast in central New Jersey, which inspired my passion for environmental science and policy. After receiving my B.S. in Environmental Studies at Cook College, Rutgers University, I worked for several years in D.C. on Capital Hill and the World Resources Institute before heading to Delaware for my Master's in Marine Policy. Since then I have had amazing experiences with the Chesapeake Bay Program, the National Aquarium in Baltimore and the Delaware Nature Society. Prior to my current position, I was the Brownfield Coordinator at the Delaware Department of Natural Resources. Working now at the University of Delaware, it feels like I've come full circle and returned home!
